GIC Perestrakhovanie LLC was incorporated on 14th November 2018 as a 100% subsidiary of General Insurance Corporation of India (GIC Re) – a state-owned specialist reinsurance company of the Republic of India and one of the largest reinsurers worldwide.
The launch of GIC Perestrakhovanie is the next step on the way of developing and strengthening GIC Re’s position in the reinsurance market of former USSR where the corporation has been actively working since 2002 when the Representative office was opened in Moscow. For the years passed, all leading insurance and broking companies of the region have become the close partners of GIC Re on Non-life reinsurance business.
