GIC PERESTRAKHOVANIE WAS MENTIONED IN THE JOINT STATEMENT OF HEADS OF RUSSIA AND INDIA
06 December 2021, the President of the Russian Federation Mr Vladimir Putin at the invitation of Prime Minister of India Mr Narendra Nodi had a working visit to New Delhi and attended the 21st annual Russian-Indian Summit “Russia – India: Partnership for Peace, Progress and Prosperity”.
Concluding the visit, the joint statement provided among others a confirmation to commitment to strengthen inter-bank and insurance cooperation at Point No. 27 therein. On insurance, there was given a reference to GIC Perestrakhovanie LLC, a 100% subsidiary of General Insurance Corporation of India, commenced its operations in the Russian insurance market in September 2020 and now offering reinsurance support to all it’s major participants.
